Home News & Videos How To Reduce Swelling In Your Knee After ACL Surgery

Knee swelling after ACL surgery is a normal response, but persistent or excessive swelling can interfere with your mobility and recovery.

In this video, we walk through 3 simple exercises that use gentle movement to encourage circulation and help your body manage swelling after ACL surgery.

  • Exercise 1: Ankle Pumps (Aim to do 30–50 pumps)
  • Exercise 2: Quad Sets with an Elevated Ankle (3 sets of 10 repetitions)
  • Exercise 3: Heel Slides (3 sets of 10 repetitions)

Always follow your personalized rehabilitation plan and check with your physical therapist or healthcare provider before adding new exercises into your post-surgery routine.
