I was suffering from debilitating pain in my shoulder, chest and upper back for over a month. After getting an MRI, I was diagnosed with a partially torn rotator cuff and labrum. Anti-inflammatory medication, Icy Hot and ice packs did not help with the pain at all. I could barely get through my day, and the only relief was laying flat on my back and not moving. My orthopedist sent me to physical therapy before discussing injections or surgery. I was very skeptical that PT would help with what I was going through. My first appointment with Jonathan Kronenberg at JAG was on Jan 8. Jonathan had me describe exactly what I was feeling, while he took notes on everything I said. Next, he asked me to stand up so he could observe my posture. He quickly identified that the source of most of my pain was coming from thoracic outlet pain, largely due to bad posture. He instructed me through a series of thoracic stretches, along with exercises to build up my shoulder strength to deal with the rotator cuff/labrum injury. After one visit, plus a weekend of doing stretches at home, I already felt about 25% better. I stopped taking any anti-inflammatory meds at this point. Within 4 weeks, I was completely pain free and cleared to resume all activities. I am continuing with daily stretching and strength training at home, while staying very aware of my posture at all times. I cannot say enough about Jonathan's care, plus his attention to the distinct issues facing his patient - and creating a plan to address those issues.

I have to say that Jonathan and his team have always been very friendly and made physical therapy a fun and positive experience. However, the experience I had yesterday was pretty bad — to the point that I don’t think I’ll be going back to this place.
To give some background: like most people, I have a very busy life. I’m a working mom who has to plan around my child’s school schedule, and I’ve even adjusted my office hours to make it all work. The only time I really have for myself is Friday afternoons, since I finish work at noon. That gives me maybe three hours to take care of anything I need — appointments, errands, or my own health. I won’t go into every detail of what I juggle daily, but timing really matters for me.
Because of this, I have to schedule and coordinate everything down to the minute — sometimes rescheduling or canceling when things don’t line up.
Now, back to what happened yesterday: I called Jag Therapy Montvale about my Friday appointment and explained that I had a meeting which might not end on time for me to make my 11:45 or 12:30 PM session. I also mentioned that I had another appointment at 1 PM. My suggestion was to cancel my current slot and then call back on Friday — once my morning meeting ended — to see if there was any availability left.
Instead of being understanding or flexible, they put me on hold, discussed it with someone, and came back saying, “You seem to cancel a lot.” Yes, I’ve had to cancel a few times, but always more than 24 hours in advance, so they could fill the spot with another patient. They then told me that from now on, I would have to call only on the same day I want an appointment to book it — which, realistically, means it’s almost impossible to find availability, especially since they close early on Fridays.
Physical therapy appointments are supposed to be based on both the patient’s and the clinic’s availability, but when you’re a regular patient with a tight schedule, that kind of policy just doesn’t work. I’m paying for a service and trying to manage my time responsibly — life doesn’t always fit neatly into rigid scheduling rules.

Jag Montvale is a great place for therapy Jonathan and his crew inject fun in to some of the exercises so we have a social and very professional session. Results are excellent. I highly recommend this location

JAG is the very best! It is well run, clean, and their expertise is beyond compare. The staff is attentive & caring. Stacey, Haley & Shannon are great! Ashley, Stacey and the rest of the staff have been great. After the surgery, they have been very supportive and encouraging and it helped me in the recovery process. Each PT session is helping me get better and I am thankful for their help and guidance.

Ashley and her staff at the Montvale location are great!! Such a pleasant, attentive and professional team. Ashley listened to my concerns and issues (Vertigo) and knew exactly how to treat me. In addition, she offered additional training and insight on how to "treat" myself if I couldn't get back to her.
The facility is bright, clean and spacious. I was not kept waiting for any of my appointments and advised ahead of time about billing and insurance.
I have already recommended this facility and will continue to do so.

Just amazing, every single person at JAG One was super professional, I was lucky to have Ashley work on me and Anthony at times, they were exceptional. They knew exactly how to push and help me get to the life I love. Everyone became a friend, my family, and cared for me like no other place I have been too. Raymond was always so helpful and every time I saw Heather, she would welcome me with such positive energy.
Now, after a surgery on my wrist and thinking it was going to be nearly impossible to get back to normal, I feel just perfect. Most of the time I just forget I had a surgery and that is thanks to the JAG One team.

I had SUCH a fantastic experience at JAG Physical Therapy in Montvale, NJ!
Starting these appointments anywhere you go you hope the experience is pretty good. Well, my expectations were absolutely exceeded. From day one I knew instantly that I was in great hands. Every single day I felt the progress in my injured ankle, and by my last day there I was so glad at how far I came. That would not have happened if not for the excellent program I was put on.
Every member of the staff is great. They are friendly and very attentive. Everyone really does care about the patients. It’s not only a big help physically, but mentally; friendly conversations and genuinely positive relationship building.
Special shout outs to Ashley and Raymond! Ashley was a true professional through and through, extremely knowledgeable. She is not an alarmist, but very truthful on your current capabilities and expectations moving forward. Ray at the front desk was a true delight to talk to. Always very positive, professional, and the perfect person to see first as you walk in the door, setting the tone for the whole appointment.

Excellent results for my ankle therapy (peroneal tendinitis) ! Ashley came up with a program to strengthen not only ankle , but entire leg . Her and her staff make sure the individual exercises are done properly for the most benefit. The facility is neat and clean and well sanitised. Shout-outs to PT Anthony and Aides Kevin and Dylan, along with Ray at the front desk.

I have been to Excel and Kessler in Montvale for physical therapy before, but I’m so much happier at JAG. The therapy room is large, bright, and very clean. They’re very careful about COVID and clean everything after each use. Ray at the front desk is always so nice, he does a great job dealing with insurance, and he’s very flexible and accommodating about making and changing appointments. Ashley is an excellent physical therapist who is so helpful and informative as well as being so pleasant to be around. I highly recommend JAG!

Best place for all your physical therapy needs! Anthony and Ashley are the best PTs I’ve ever been with and helped me tremendously and treated me like I’m family. Ray and heather are also really nice, if you want the finest care this is the place to go! 10000000/10
