How long have you been playing lacrosse?: I have been playing lacrosse for a little more than 9 years.

What is your favorite aspect of lacrosse?: My favorite aspect of lacrosse is the intensity and adrenaline rush I get from it. I love playing mid-field, scoring, and being able to put a little pep in my step when I play. Lacrosse has helped me become the competitive, determined, and dedicated player I strive to be!

Do you have a favorite moment or memory from a lacrosse game?: My favorite memory is when my team finally beat a team that we were never able to beat. I remember our whole team trying to get hyped up before a game against this team so that we could finally beat them! When we finally beat them, it was because we played as a team and really showed them that even though they beat us a few times, we could still come back stronger!!

Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to as a role model and why?: I look up to my coach, Coach Kathleen. She has been so awesome to me throughout my recovery and has always hyped me up when I tell her about my progress in physical therapy! I will always look up to her as an inspiration!!!

Have you ever suffered a major sports related injury? If so, how do you feel that improved your game?: I tore my ACL in February at a winter league game while playing on my Triple Treat team and was so bummed about it…until I realized that I became stronger and more determined to get better. I have met so many new friends through physical therapy and realized that even though I am hurt, I am still becoming a better player and getting stronger everyday mentally and physically!

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of sports?: Outside of sports, I love to socialize and make new friends. I have always been considered a loud person who doesn’t keep much to myself, and my injury has allowed me to make new friends and find new interests!

How does being an athlete inspire you to do good?: Being an athlete inspires me to keep positive even when challenges are thrown at me and my teammates. I love to try and motivate my teammates and have a positive attitude whenever I can!
