Bridgewater, N.J. (October 25th, 2023) – JAG Physical Therapy, one of the fastest growing comprehensive physical and occupational therapy practices providing rehabilitative care to patients and sports teams in over 140 locations across the Northeast, hosted a blood drive in collaboration with the Somerset County Business Partnership and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) Somerset, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, on October 4, 2023, at the JAG Physical Therapy headquarters located in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

This collaboration between JAG Physical Therapy, the Somerset County Business Partnership, and RWJUH Somerset serves as a remarkable example of their shared commitment to initiatives that promote the overall well-being of the local community. The primary objective of this event was to create a positive impact, fostering a sense of unity among community members and ensuring their enduring strength, vitality, and resilience through their collective efforts.

“Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset continues to support the health and wellness of our community members and those who live, work, and visit Central New Jersey,” says Patrick Delaney, Chief Administrative Officer, RWJUH Somerset. “We are always excited to collaborate with partners like the Somerset County Business Partnership and JAG Physical Therapy to offer much needed services and programs to Somerset County residents and beyond.”

“The Somerset County Business Partnership understands that a healthy workforce equals a productive workforce,” says Chris Edwards, President and CEO of Somerset County Business Partnership. “Whether it's helping brand great organizations like RWJUH Somerset and JAG Physical Therapy or creating opportunities for members to give back, we will always support wellness in Somerset County.”

“JAG Physical Therapy remains dedicated to supporting health and wellness initiatives throughout our local communities,” says John Gallucci Jr., President & CEO of JAG Physical Therapy. “Our joint efforts on this blood drive support our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services to our patients and expand our reach in the local area.”

Blood supplies are critically low throughout New Jersey. One of only a few hospital-run programs of its kind in the state, RWJUH Somerset’s Blood Donor Program relies on the support of individuals and area service organizations to provide most of the blood used annually at the hospital. Convenient hours allow donors to schedule evening or weekend appointments and walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday from  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blood donors may donate for general, replacement, autologous or designated use.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.

For more specific details on who may donate and to make an appointment, please call the RWJUH Somerset Blood Donor Program at 908-685-2926 or visit www.rwjuhdonorclub.org.
