The Annual Valerie Fund Event raised more than $923,000 for children with cancer and blood disorders

Bridgewater, N.J. (June 20, 2023) – JAG Physical Therapy is one of the fastest growing comprehensive physical and occupational therapy practices providing rehabilitative care to patients and sports teams in over 120 locations across the Northeast. Every year, JAG Physical Therapy serves as the presenting sponsor of The Valerie Fund Walk/5k Run, a fundraising event to raise money for children with cancer and blood disorders in the New Jersey, New York, and metro Philadelphia areas. The annual event took place on June 10, 2023 in Verona Park, NJ.

“Every year we have this opportunity to come together as a community and support The Valerie Fund. There is nothing better than a community supporting the growth of a charity that gives so much to children in need,” says John Gallucci Jr., President & CEO of JAG Physical Therapy. “Every employee that joins JAG Physical Therapy in their onboarding is told about our commitment to The Valerie Fund. Each year, our tent grows, and we are excited that the JAG Physical Therapy family comes together for the children and families of The Valerie Fund.”

Ed and Sue Goldstein created The Valerie Fund with the mission to support comprehensive health care services focusing on psychosocial programs for children with cancer and blood disorders close to home. The Valerie Fund Children Centers are located in eight pediatric hospitals and have received just under 28,000 total patient visits since the first Valerie Fund Center opened in 1977.

The Valerie Fund Walk/5k Run is an annual event presented by Ed and Sue Goldstein and JAG Physical Therapy. This year’s signature event consisted of 137 teams with 1,818 participants and raised over $923,000 for the organization.

“The Valerie Fund’s mission is to keep the children healthy, but to also keep them and their families socially and psychologically integrated in the community. What Ed and Sue Goldstein have done over the past 35 plus years in this community is outstanding, and I want everyone in our community to understand that they are supporting our children,” says John Gallucci Jr., President & CEO of JAG Physical Therapy.
