John Gallucci Jr., MS, ATC, PT, DPT, is the President & CEO of JAG Physical Therapy, one of the fastest-growing comprehensive physical and occupational therapy practices providing rehabilitative care to patients and sports teams in over 170 locations across the Northeast.
Recognized by ROI-NJ as one of the top 20 influencers in healthcare, Gallucci has received numerous honors, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Award and the American Physical Therapy Association of New Jersey Distinguished Professional of the Year award for his work. Gallucci was named on NJBIZ’s 2025 Health Care Power List, is recognized by ROI-NJ on their Power List for Healthcare Life Sciences, and was inducted into his alma mater Dominican University’s Alumni Hall of Achievement. In 2025, Gallucci was also named a NJBIZ Executive Excellence Award nominee and appointed as a board member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
An expert in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and injury prevention, Gallucci serves as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer for Major League Soccer (MLS) and is a Sports Medicine consultant for professional athletes in the NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB.
Recognized as a best-selling author, Gallucci has penned multiple influential books including Soccer Injury Prevention and Treatment, Play Ball: Don’t Let Injuries Sideline You This Season, The JAG Method—which outlines the leadership principles behind JAG’s growth—and his newest release, Pickleball Pickleball Pickleball: Don’t Get Hurt, a timely guide to injury prevention in one of the fastest-growing sports in America, released in September 2025.
Gallucci earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the City University of New York–Staten Island and later earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Dominican University, which honored him as its Person of the Year in 2018. In 2023, Dominican University officially opened the Gallucci Physical Therapy Research Laboratory, supported by Gallucci’s ongoing scholarship and research contributions.
Dually licensed as an athletic trainer and physical therapist, Gallucci began his career with organizations such as the New York Knicks, New York University, New York Red Bulls, and several major healthcare systems. His early experiences in sports physical therapy inspired him to bring the same elite level of care to every patient, leading him to found JAG Physical Therapy. Gallucci continues to expand the practice throughout the Northeast, focusing on accessible, outcome-based, in-network care that serves the needs of local communities.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gallucci has served on the governor-appointed New Jersey Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, which promotes public awareness of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. He chaired the Council from 2016 to 2020.
